I keep my currently active guitars on stands but... They are in my man cave with a locking door. The grandkids come over, the door gets locked. And no cats. Mike

My OM-18V lives in my car (in its case, of course!) because I'm in hotels a lot and it's easier to get it in and out of rooms and to do gigs. My OM-28V lives at home on its stand so I can grab it when I want to keep my fingers loose. I have a couple of ot...

No pets but I do have five grandkids. Guitars are out on stands. Zero problems.

In review of the video I see (besides the likelihood of a set up or nasty cat) that no stand was in play....looks like a leaner on the coffee table's what did in the guitar.

I wonder why the thread is on such a long run, since damage is so easily prevented: Put your guitar on the stand and your cat / grandchildren / whatever in the case.

I tend to let a few sit out during the warm weather months because of the convenience, but in the winter in the case they go. Only way I can keep some control of the humidity. Thankfully, the cats never seem to bother and the child is no longer a child. P...

I asked my guitars, what they prefer and all of them said: "Leave us in the fresh air, even if some dings and scratches might hurt us."
